Bahijha has long studied dance since she was a young child. She continues today exploring and expanding her knowledge of the movements, steps and art of aesthetics of "Middle Eastern Dance".
Bahijha has continued her education at such prestigious dance affiliations, such as "Cambridge School of Arts," "Transformations Center of Healing Art and Moving Meditation," and "The Academy of Oriental Dance."
Bahijha has studied dance with much focus on its historical and social context. She places much emphasis on personal expression, correct performance style and quality.
Bahijha has studied in collaboration with some of the world's most talented dancers and performers, and she always continues to strive to improve her knowledge and craft of the dance. Bahijha has extensive knowledge of "Egyptian Raks Sharki", "Turkish Cabaret" and other Middle Eastern" dance techniques and styles. She also incorporates her own individual creativity through her use of "Cane, Veils, Zills, Swords, Shamadan and Live Serpents".
Bahijha is a member of the NBDA (Northeast Belly Dancers Association) and a teacher of Middle Eastern Art. She truly is a well respected professional performer.
Bahijha performs the "Dance of Isis" for various ceremonies which invoke the presence of the divine feminine, and also produces and directs a seasonal event on the third or fourth Friday of every month called "An Arabian Night's Adeventure", now in its fourth season in Onset Mass.
