Frequently asked questions.
#1. Is there any nudity? NO, There will never be any nudity
during this class, however, students will be able to wear
certain types of
lingerie during the pole dance class and
(It is optional). Pole classes will
always be
workout clothes. Though I know how fun it is to dress up! Even
though nudity is a beautiful art form, this class will focus on
dressing your
inner erotic creature.
#2. Is there a weight limit?
“Yes“ the design of the poles incorporates a unique ceiling mount, that requires only a single screw into a main joist in the ceiling. A threaded compression system holds the dance poles in place and the rubber feet on the base hold the dance poles in place and can hold a person up to 200 pounds. ‘PLEASE” Keep in mind the poles are held in place by friction and cannot withstand as large a side load as a bolted mount. My classes are designed for women of all shapes and sizes and all pole moves can be modified. So If you are looking to lose weight, pole dancing is a great way to do it!!
#3. Do I need dance experience?
Absolutely not. Pole dancing is very unique. No counts are ever used. Its
very hard to pole dance on a beat.
#4. I am pregnant, can I participate?
“No“ There will be no exceptions. Even if your doctor said it was o.k. you
will not be permitted to participate.
#5. Can I bring friends to watch?
“No” Everyone must participate. I want to provide a comfortable
environment for my students. I may have a student showcases a couple
of
times a year where friends can come and watch.
#6.What do I wear to class?
You will want to wear dance or workout clothes including shorts or yoga pants, a tank top or choli, and bring with you a floor mat and towel, knee pads, comfortable tennis shoes and of course bring water. This will be a fun workout!!!
#7. Will I hurt myself?
As with any physical fitness program, you should do what you are
comfortable with. Plus, you will need to follow some basic guidelines.
You will inevitably get some bruises in the beginning as your body
adjusts to this type of activity.
#8. Do I need a pole at home?
“No“ It is not required but it sure is fun to have one in your house!
#9. I am a little nervous…. is that normal?
Many women are nervous at first but I strive very hard to provide a
supportive, caring and comfortable environment. Once the class gets going
you will be
having so much fun that nervousness will go away very
quickly!
